For students who have completed grades K-1

Registration - $100

About the camp: Students will be immersed in tactile and sensory stimulating materials, build foundational skills of art making,  develop fine motor skills, and work collaboratively on group projects. During breaks, we'll read books and create art based on children’s authors like Eric Carle. We'll learn about and Picasso and Van Gogh and make projects inspired by their lives. These littles will need to get their wiggles out, so we will also be making our own musical instruments and taking little dance breaks! 

Grades 2-4

Two sessions to choose from:

For students who have completed grades 2-4

About the camp: Students will enjoy an exciting combination of relevant and tactile art experiences. Students will learn weaving and collagraph printmaking, and will hone their existing drawing skills as they explore the mind-bending illusions of agamographs. The week’s activities will be full of interesting artistic techniques resulting in finished projects suitable for display.

Grades 5-8

June 19-23 from 9 am-12 pm

Instructor: Nora Majors

For students who have completed grades 5-8

Registration - $100

About the camp: Students will work with cardboard, yarn, watercolors, acrylic paint, and origami. Campers will create collages, sculptures, paintings and more with a focus on creating projects with  depth and texture. Come explore the Layers of Art with us!

Grades 9-12

June 5-16 from 9 am-12 pm

Charley Creek Gardens

Instructors: Hannah Burnworth, Terry Pulley, and Elizabeth Wamsley

For students who have completed grades 9-12

Registration -  $125

About the camp: This two-week art experience will feature three professional artists leading activities in each of their areas of expertise. Hannah will explore book and paper arts by introducing fun paper cutting and collage techniques and simple book bindings. Elizabeth will lead four days of ceramics, focusing on sculpture and various finishing/texturizing techniques. Terry will take students outside to spend time in the world of plein air painting.
