Art by Mirvia Sol Eckert

Artes Latinas in Wabash presents the rich and varied contributions of Latino artists. The exhibition is a collaboration between the Clark Gallery, Arte Mexicano en Indiana, and We the Many project.

This exhibit presents works from six professional artists, featuring various artistic styles including illustration, printmaking, painting, muralism, and graphic design. In addition, the exhibit features works from Wabash County students who worked alongside visiting artist, Ana Velazquez, for We the Many, a  project of Arts Midwest made possible with generous support from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and in partnership with the Indiana Arts Commission, Iowa Arts Council, and South Dakota Arts Council. Artwork for the show was curated by Arte Mexicano en Indiana, an art nonprofit based in Indianapolis whose goal is to encourage and promote art, music, and culture in Indiana. The concept of the exhibit was born from the desire to connect communities and demonstrate life as a Midwesterner from different perspectives.
